Extract the files using the intructions below:
To download a .zip file from an email and access the files on a phone or computer, follow these steps:
- Email: Open the email containing the .zip file attachment.
- Download: Locate the attachment and tap or click on it to start the download. The file may automatically download, or you may need to choose a download option.
- Extraction: Once the .zip file is downloaded, locate it in your device’s file manager or downloads folder. On a computer, you can usually find it in the “Downloads” folder. On a phone, you may find it in the “Files” app or a similar file manager.
- Unzip: Select the .zip file and choose an option to unzip or extract the files. On a computer, you can often right-click the file and select “Extract” or use a program like WinRAR or 7-Zip. On a phone, you might need a file manager app with built-in extraction capabilities or install a dedicated file extractor app from your app store.
- Access: After the files are extracted, you can access them. On a computer, the extracted files are usually saved in a new folder with the same name as the .zip file. Navigate to the folder and open the files using their respective applications. On a phone, you can find the extracted files in the file manager app and open them with compatible apps installed on your device.
